The Guitare en Scène audience was entranced by Sting...

The Guitare en Scène audience was on fire Saturday night to welcome one of the planetary music stars who best survived the 80s, the immense Sting.

After three decades of success during which he touched on all styles, as a curious and empathetic musician, the Englishman returns to his roots with this best-of tour, sending fans into a trance. The audience screaming the lyrics while waving their arms, the great hits of the early Police years: an hour and a half of pure bliss. Sting's fans have certainly rediscovered their old ways, but every artist evolves, and in the case of the singer-bassist, it's to achieve even greater things. Thanks to the top-notch musicians surrounding him, Sting succeeds in giving his songs even more character. With Dominic Miller on guitar, David Sancious on keyboard, the extraordinary Peter Tickell on violin, Vinnie Colaiuta on drums and the beautiful backing vocals of Joanne Lawry, Sting, bearded like a sea dog, strapped to his bass to lead the ensemble, showed that taking years can sometimes be a good thing.
