LP and Sting dominate the second evening of the Déferlantes in Argelès-sur-Mer...

More "classical" in its line-up, the most rock-oriented of this 2017 edition, the second evening of the Déferlantes was marked by the XXL performances of Sting, the megastar of the day, and LP, who asserted herself on stage as much more than the author of the 2016 summer hit.

He arrived on stage as sharp as he was in his 20s, a blue shirt around his shoulders matching his piercing eyes, a voice as clear as ever, and... from the very first notes, the Parc de Valmy was captivated. For an hour and a half, Sting, the headliner of the evening, played his repertoire (and part of that of The Police). A "best-of live" of a legendary act, as the Déferlantes like to offer. Just like in 2012, when he first performed on the Argelès-sur-Mer stage, the audience had every word on their lips.

A graceful hour and a half at the heart of the most rocking evening of the season at Valmy, where Sting more than put on a show: he left his mark on the evening. But he wasn't the only one. A full hour before him, LP had slapped the Parc de Valmy with a bang.

For me this was a back to bass concert or a best of but not a 57th & 9th concert (2 songs were played from the album)
